All of the electrical parts have been replaced and the unit has been refurbished. The transformer works well and is in good shape, no cracks or broken parts. Screw on caps for all of the rear terminals are present, all posts work as intended. Circuit breaker and short light work as intended. Old fashioned but very useable.

Clean example of boxcab electric loco on 7.5 frame is original red with cream inserts, stamped lettering, mostly brass trim. Loco is very clean with only light wear, few tiny edge nicks and some wear/chips at rear of roof-edge. Brass trim is mostly clean, has original cast headlight, minor fatigue and chip at front edge. Original couplers are clean. “Lionel” lettering is worn, 248 numbers show only light wear. 2 wheels have been replaced with vintage spoke-type, original 2 are disc type. The frame covers the wheels so this does not show. Wiring has some repairs. Loco ran, forward only type motor, and headlight worked when tested. A very clean example of this boxcab.
