Enameled metal electric loco was made early 1930’s, has an E-unit reverse, looks original/complete, except for missing latch on 1 coupler. It is apple green with cream windows/vents, brass inserts with black lettering, brass trim, copper journals on dark green frame. Wheels are original, one has fatigue cracks and is preventing it from running, other 3 wheels look OK. It looks like original wiring, original cast lights with new bulbs. Finish has light dirt, wear mainly roof edges, there is a dent in roof monitor, corrosion on couplers and screws. It was bench-tested, reverse cycled and motor surged, tried to run, but bad wheel prevents it. Loco for North Shore Limited set. It should have an “E” rubber stamped on sides, but has worn off. All Items, including N. (new-old-stock), are graded and represented as vintage collectibles. Operational ability and characteristics or completeness of vintage motors, mechanisms, wiring, bulbs etc are not guaranteed. We do not guarantee coupler operation. 1920’s boxcab electric loco is 14.5 enameled metal with cast iron pilots. Loco is maroon with yellow windows, red pilots, brass plates. It is missing one headlight cover and wheels are vintage black replacements. Original finish has light dirt, some dullness, wear on 1 side/ends/roof, a bit more wear on roof. The other side has corrosion and paint loss as shown, couplers have corrosion, trim tarnished. Frame has some edge and corner wear. Roof is loose, but stays-put on shelf or layout, it ran when bench-tested, has manual reverse. This is AF’s largest boxcab type. Pick-up is loose, needs some adjustment. All Items, including N.
