10.25 diecast scale-detailed 2-6-2 loco was made about 1940. It has original black finish, chrome-nickel top trim and side-rods, Baldwin Disc type drive wheels. Finish has light dirt, light edge and detail wear, good front steps, markers and cab-roof corners, should clean to look near-EX. Still looks and fits OK. Very little corrosion or oxidation but VERY high mileage loco. Runs OK but sometimes a slight squeal. Like all large, heavy diecast steam engines of this era, it is designed to run on higher voltages from larger transformers. Rebuilt e-unit, replaced drum. WRONG FRONT PILOT CASTING Replacement does not fit well. Boiler face doesn’t clip closed. Chunk out of trailing truck wheel. Whistle motor cleaned, sounds OK but has rattle.
