Lionel Prewar Terracotta Passenger Car Set. Here is a Passenger Car Set from Steve’s Train City in Minnesota. Ction is for a Lionel Prewar Passenger Car Set made in the 1926 – 1932 era. Included are three cars, two #529 Pullman Cars and a #530 Observation. They are Terracotta cars with Cream Trim, Maroon Frames and have the harder to find Copper Journals. All the cars match in condition with just minor nicks and have some paint fade on one side. None have rust but the doors have been pushed in by a youngster along the way and have to be straightened. For sale here I have the LIONEL 262E along with the 262T coal tender that are in the combo of black paint and copper trim. The locomotive is equipped with a reversing mechanism located within the cab, also a bight headlight and flag holders up front. The locomotive runs out real well, it is free of excessive lubricant’s and no grime. The paint finish is really nice with minimal paint loss, reference the photos please. The roof line of the cab is nicely rounded, the boiler front latch is sound and working. The copper accents a bit dull but are without dents, the handrails are properly shaped and the bell with ornamental whistle are intact. Both the locomotive and the tender are free of rust, I find no paint touch work, please note the drive rod of the engineer side has miner flaking of the nickel finish, finally one of two green marker lens is missing as is one handrail anchor.
