The Lionel Post War 1615 Engine & Tender is a vintage model steam locomotive and tender in black color, manufactured in 1955 by Lionel in the United States. This 1:48 scale replica features a 0-4-0 wheel configuration and is part of the Three-Rail System. With both the engine and tender intact and in excellent condition, this pre-built unit is a collector’s item for enthusiasts of model railroads and trains, offering a nostalgic look at transportation from the mid-20th century. I did lubricated and test it. Both boxes are intact. The loco box is in good shape. The tender box not so much. The engine is in excellent condition with a few minor wear spots. Post war Lionel 2671W 12 wheel tender with whistle. Appears to be lightly used and in C7 excellent condition. Shell is complete with Steps. No cracks, no breaks and no melt marks. Picked up at a local estate sale and was told it’s been untouched since the 1950’s so I would highly recommend it be serviced prior to returning to regular use. I did test it and it does work but needs oiled at a minimum however as stated above I think a full cleaning and servicing should be done. These are getting a little harder to find in this condition so don’t sleep on this.

Handed down from my grandad’s collection, extremely clean set, engine is tested runs beautifully, has light, forward and reverse, and steam as shown. Powerful engine excellent Lionel quality for the collector or starter. Tracks have some rust will need cleaning as switcher track but still workable. Will make someone a very happy owner!!!!!!!!!!!! Note, the tracks that come with the set are not the ones that train was running on in video. These were with the set and id like to keep all together. There is NO transformer included. Handed down from my grandad’s collection, very nice set, engine is higher end Columbia type Scout Locomotive, has weighted ballasts front and rear tested runs beautifully, has light, has 2 position e unit forward and reverse, Smokes wonderful this type needs to be running along to smoke, powerful engine excellent Lionel quality for the collector or starter.
