Item: Lionel Prewar Locomotive. If no photo of a box there is No Box. Description: Lionel PREWAR 225E & 2235W Plastic Shell Tender. Some surface corrosion from moisture exposure, much was cleaned off. Motor runs well, cleaned, lubed, new brushes and springs. Like all large, heavy diecast steam engines of this era, it is designed to run on higher voltages from larger transformers. Tender body is late prewar plastic shell. It looks like it might have been clear-coated at some point and it is flaking off? Whistle rattles, operation erratic. Please examine photos carefully.
