And replace missing parts, and make sure you have a nice running train. I do spend the time and restore them if in really bad shape. Found this one in need of lots of help. Needed a lot of work. Need taken apart, cleaned, re-wired. Strip and repainted shell. Serviced tested and see video of it running. I painted car to match.. What you see you will get. Everything was polished and cleaned. It was totally refurbished and restored the shell and frame, Lot of work but runs and looks great now. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. Plus I usually put Fifty to one Hundred ++ dollars in refurbished or new parts. They are almost impossible to find anymore. And are not cheap. Sometimes less sometimes more. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified. SEE VIDEO OF IT RUNNING. I bought this awhile ago and it still in the condition I was when I bought it. Didn’t have a tender. All I did to this engine was serviced it. Added missing trucks and cow catcher. Look pretty much original. Bought the tender and serviced the whistle. It worked was missing the front casting so I installed a new one. So there it is. Camera shows it running slow. Nice old 153 prewar 1920’S Lionel, I bought it as original from e-bay and needed servicing. Did not run no light or bell. Like I tell everyone these 90+ year old antiques may have been redone many years ago. I believe Original decals. Runs in one direction only.
