Ionel Prewar 259E Steam Locomotive & Tender and 3-Car Passenger Set. Untested – Paint is in very good condition for its age. Locomotive has the rarer misspelled “O-GUAGE” on the bottom plate, which based on research dates it to approximately 1934. 2 – 607 Pullman Cars. 1 – 608 Observation Car. The overall condition is very good, but we’re not collectors and have no way of testing to see if it runs. Lionel PreWar 2-4-2 Black Steam Locomotive 259E with Tender. FAIR – Scratched, moderate paint loss, dented missing parts, surface rust. Most all used items will be in need of some work and tend to be dusty and even dirty from sitting in storage. These are mostly older aged items, there will be flaws unless noted. I’m happy to research any questions or send additional photos as needed. Locomotives are tested only for momentum and not for power or duration. Most all older locomotives will need work, cleaning, lube etc. We test only for initial movement on a 3′ track. Please be aware that these are used items, usually with age and will need some work and accompanying knowledge. To avoid either of us having a negative experience, please inspect your item on receipt, and contact me immediately if you are not satisfied so the situation can be remedied.
