This is a Lionel 255E engine and 263T (No Whistle) Engine was refurbished. I bought it and serviced it. Bought it with out a tender. I had several and added one. Color are gun metal but not a 100% match. Tender a little darker. Sat for awhile but when tested ran great. All parts where cleaned and polished that were original. Added new parts that were missing or damaged. It was in very good condition when I bought it. Great show piece and runner. What you see you will get. I had a lot of time and cost of parts in this set. Part are just not. Anymore and when you find them they are very costly. Restore one and see. Any other questions please ask.. This item has light nicks and scratches on the body. The wheels show signs of wear. This item has been custom painted which has caused light bubbling in the paint. Lionel 255E Vintage O Prewar 2-4-2 Tinplate Steam Locomotive & 263W Tender. Here is a Custom Painted Lionel 255E 2-4-2 Gun-Metal Steam Locomotive and 2263W Gun-Metal Tender from 1935-36. The locomotive motor and 3-position E-unit have been tested and work fine. The headlight works as well. It has a red fire box glow light, full set of driving rods, shiny nickel handrails, steam domes, stack and trim.
