This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. A large chunk of die-cast is missing from one of the steam chests. Both the locomotive and tender show nicks, scratches, and light spots of surface rust. Paint on both items also is chipped, crackling, and there are spots of pitting on the sides of the locomotive. Lionel Pre-war O Gauge #249E Steam Locomotive. Cab roof corner is bent and cab is push forward, see last 2 photos. I’m guessing it got dropped. Otherwise, nice clean engine. A new cab would make this a really nice engine. Runs well forward and reverse. The e-unit cycles properly. Please see photos for condition.

It’s missing all of its paint off the top section and is covered in rust. The bottom section only has a small amount of black paint remaining. I know almost nothing about these old locomotives so I can’t tell you if it’s missing parts or not.
