Item: Lionel Prewar Locomotive. If no photo of a box there is No Box. Description: Lionel PREWAR 226E & 2226W Diecast Tender. Good condition diecast boiler and tender. No corrosion or rust inside or out. Like all large, heavy diecast steam engines of this era, it is designed to run on higher voltages from larger transformers. Rebuilt e-unit, replaced drum. Whistle motor cleaned, sounds good. Tender MISSING front steps. One hand rail stanchion broken. Please examine photos carefully. Photos: These are photos of the actual item unless noted on the photo. Overall the item is in good physical condition. I rewired it and oiled the whistle motor. I don’t notice any issues. The shell is in good condition. No cracks or breaks. Customer ordered the wrong product or just don’t want it. DO NOT OPEN THE ITEM IF YOU ARE GOING TO RETURN IT! Must be in original box unopened with no damage to the package or packaging (we need to be able to resell that product as new). Items must be in “new, unaltered and unused condition”. Do not tape anything to the item. That is 20% of the items price you paid. Wrong item sent or defective product. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on the locomotive and tender. Additionally, both items show spots of paint wear, chips, and abrasions throughout their surfaces. Lettering and numbering is a little faded due to aging, but is still legible. Dust has collected, so the overall appearance of these items may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
