This Lionel 1662 and 203T has been set up for operating on postwar tubular track smooth operation over 022 switches and magnetic. The wiring and operation on this Loco and tender is excellent both couplers work as designed. This locomotive in its stock configuration does not operate well over 022 switches or. By using pre-war trucks with power pick-ups on the tender and wiring the power for the Loco and the ground for the Loco through the tender and installing traction tires on the geared wheels it gives this Loco all the clearance and power for smooth operation over all track obstacles. Paint seems in fair condition. The locomotive paint is in much better position than the tender -one side of the tender is fairly chipped. So assume the worst but be pleasantly surprised if it works. The geared wheels move freely with all moving when I turn one wheel. All the wheels move freely on the tender. The magnetic coupler on the tender is locked but I was able to manually lift the pin and it opens and closes nicely. I can always add detail photos if needed.
