Or handed down in the family and put up for sale. When I sell a item I go over it completely. Clean everything, make sure it run. And replace missing parts, and make sure you have a nice running train. I do spend the time and restore them if in really bad shape. Nice old 153 prewar 1920’S Lionel, I bought it as original from e-bay and needed servicing. Did not run no light or bell. Like I tell everyone these 90+ year old antiques may have been redone many years ago. I believe Original decals. Runs in one direction only. Runs now but being that old no guarantees if will no have problems some day. What you see you will receive. Vintage/Antique Lionel 153 Prewar 0-4-0 Electric engine.. See Video of it running. Everything I sell has been serviced and runs. Color Lionel Mid Night Blue RUNS IN BOTH DIRECTION. The 153 Engines runs only in both direction Forward & Reverse and is shorter than the 154. I when over this engine and re-painted the shell and frame. After completed I put a coat of clear coat to protect the decals and prevent rust on hand rails. This one was in real bad condition but now back on the road again. Good wheels and pick ups, and Re wired. Runs slow to fast speed. See last pictures of it running. Lubed, Over 90 years old.
