This locomotive features tinplate construction with a single motor, operating headlamps, reverse unit, decorative bells, metal couplers, brass hand railings, metal side rods, metal wheels and axles. This is an early production with a single motor rather than the more common dual motor version. Track run tested – works great with lights on. Excellent professionally restored by previous owners. We just picked up a number of Nice Lionel Pre and Postwar Pieces. This is a Very Nice ORIGINAL Early #256 Rubber Stamped 0-4-4-0 LOCOMOTIVE that was available only in 1924-30. It is in VERY NICE ORIGINAL CONDITION with some playware paint scratches and paint patina, and missing the pilot on one side.. Please note: The unit appears to be complete with the exception of the pilot mentioned,, however we added power and got nothing. We do Not have the ability to diagnose or repair trains so we do not know the reason. Please note: Our expertise is in Pre World War II Model Trains.
