Very Nice Lionel Original Prewar BOXED Gunmetal #400E Loco and Tender. Includes #400E Loco, #400T Tender, both in the early dark gunmetal color with copper trim, and both original boxes. Both pieces are all original with no repaint ever. This is an excellent example of this desirable loco! Both have wonderful paint that is clean, shiny, and displays great. Both have very light wear with only a couple small scratches. The loco has a couple small touchups to the end of the cab roof, which blend perfectly. The loco has all original wheels. All trim is intact on both. The loco number boards are replaced, as is usual with these locos. The tender box is correctly marked with all flaps, in very nice condition. The loco box has all flaps, and was used as a shipper, but is correctly marked 400 on the inside flap. It is nearly impossible to find these locos with original frame, steam chests, air tanks, and boiler front, as this loco has! Please examine photos as they are the best description. Very Nice Lionel Original Prewar Stephen Girard Set #378E. This version of the Stephen Girard set is “The Pennsylvania Limited”. Includes #392E Loco, #384T Tender, both in black, #424 Liberty Bell, #425 Stephen Girard, and #426 Coral Isle, all in the two-tone green colors. All pieces are all original with no touchup or repaint ever. The loco is excellent with clean and beautiful paint. All pieces of the loco are original, including the wheels. The rear trailer wheels have a couple chips, and the original boiler front has chipped as well. The loco would grade an excellent C7. The loco does run forward only. The tender is also nice, C6, with a few small scratches. All 3 cars are gorgeous, one of the best sets you will find. They have all brass trim and plates. They have beautiful clean and shiny paint. There are only a couple small nicks, and the #426 has one small scratch on the roof. The cars would grade an amazing C8+. The observation has the correct Pennsylvania Limited drumhead intact. This attractive version of the Blue Comet is a very tough one to find, made one year only, 1933. All pieces are all original with no touchup or repaint ever.
