This is a nice Lionel 252 serviced Great condition. I bought this one and it needed refurbished, and motor repaired. Now it runs great in both directions. Good wire and manual switch. This is a very nice Lionel 250 serviced Great condition. Overhaul the motor, wheels, good wire. Lionel made the 250 pre 252 with no reversing switch. Look at the top, no slot for the reversing switch handle.

This is a very nice Lionel 250 serviced Great condition. I had this shell and frame probably restored by me awhile ago. Overhaul the motor, wheels, good wire. Lionel made the 250 pre 252 with no reversing switch. Look at the top, no slot for the reversing switch handle. Lionel later added the switch and cut a slot in top for lever and called it 252. LIONEL Prewar 253 engine Vintage/Antique restored tested, Great condition & runs

Trying to finish up my last few old prewar engines that I still have laying around before I give it up. Then have some in my private collection. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10+ hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. Plus I usually put Fifty to one Hundred dollars in refurbished or new parts. Sometimes less sometimes more. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. Even the new parts do not fit and have to be modified. It is a very nice Lionel 253 Peacock refurbished. Shell maybe original, frame repainted, Great condition. I had clean all the brass, Great wheels, serviced and rewired, Cleaned manual switch, lights, Lube and replace brushes. Black frame gold inserts cleaned and repainted nice. LIONEL Prewar 152 engine Vintage/Antique restored tested, runs, see pictures
