LOOK! RARE Pre-War Lionel 2810 Deep Dish Derrick Crane Car TYPE III 1941-1942

PLEASE REVIEW THE PICTURES AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION!! Box is very worn. This nice example is the very sought after Type III from 1941 – 1942, with black journal boxes, simulated knuckle couplers, and a “Deep Dish” frame. I’ll describe this as “near collector” because close examination shows some touch up paint work and there is a slight amount of oxidation on the rear trucks… Hopefully you can see this in the pictures. The only notable blemishes are the boom elevator and hook retractor knobs. Please note they DO work as does the cab rotation knob. Having pointed these things out…. The crane remains a collector item that is not easy to find…. Especially in the overall condition this crane is. LIONEL Prewar 250 Engine-Vintage/Antique 1926-35 Serviced -rare type Runs great

If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10 hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. I price them for what I have in them. I list them for what I have in them. This is a hobby to bring the oldies back to life since they are my age. I bought this engine because it looked great. Only problem was bad wheels, didn’t run & missing parts, It may have been restored sometime in the past or may be original paint paint. Colors are Lionel original colors. There are a few chips on cab and wear around the switching lever. Wheels are all good now. Motor was rewired and serviced and runs and switches great. Runs in both directions just fine. New coupler and a few brass trim parts. Most 250 cabs did not have the reversing switch slot on the top. This must be a later version when Lionel was changing to the 252. Probably used left over brass 250 parts. Great looking and runs great for 90+ years old. What you see you will receive. Thank you for looking. See pictures for this is the best description. LIONEL Prewar 250 Engine- Rare type Vintage/Antique 1926-35 Serviced & restore

The 250 was made prior to the 252. Same shell and motor. But no reversing switch and no hole in top of cab for switch lever. Much rarer than 252 but only runs in forward but that’s all you need anyway. If my price seems high I want you to know that I usually put 6-10 hours of labor restoring it to the condition it is at now. If you want one cheaper you may have to repair it and its costly. I price them for what I have in them. I list them for what I have in them. This is a hobby to bring the oldies back to life since they are my age. This engine came to me with a nice cab and motor needing repairs, plus missing parts. It is over 90+ years old. I did restore the frame & cab. Then cleaned all the original parts that I could. I replaced what was needed. New wires brushes if need etc. It is lubed serviced and bench tested. Ran engine on oval track for 10 min. The 250 came before the 252 later version and they added a reversing switch and change number to 252. What you see you will receive. Very nice Lionel 250 Nice Prewar Tin Plate engine Antique early Lionel Electric Engine. Made around 1920’s antique/Vintage toy train with all the trim parts, I restored it. Serviced it, tested it. It runs great forward. This earlier version of 250 did not have the slot in the top for a reversing switch. It was made to run in forward only. Light works, engine run good after servicing it. LIONEL Prewar 252 rare type RED Engine-Vintage/Antique 1926 Serviced Restored

+6This is a very nice Red 252 Lionel engine. Has reversing switch (manual) with lever on top. Run great in both directions. Bought this as a partial restore project someone had but never finished it. Lots of problems and needed painting. Need wires, wheels, repaired switch, brushes, and cleaned. Brass trim was all original and in very nice shape. Now it is a very attractive in demand engine.
