LIONEL Prewar 248 Antique Engine refurbished, Green Gold antique 1927-32 Runs

Antique Lionel Engine restored by me Completely. I have two listed same type. Lot of time and cost in new parts. NEW PICK UPS, NEW WHEELS. Very nice Lionel Early 248 Nice Prewar/Antique Vintage Lionel Green with Gold inserts, Tin Plate engine Rare type, The 248 only runs in forward. That is how Lionel made it. Has the 248 a die cast head light. I restored the frame and cab and added parts needed. Try to use original parts if I have them. It was really dirty when I got it. I cleaned it, Primed it and painted it. Good wire, Serviced it and it runs great. Made 1927-32 antique/Vintage toy train. With all the trim parts, I tested it. It runs great in only one directions. This type engine only runs in forward only. Look at the pictures and ask questions. Wheels are all new, New wires where needed.. Very nice antique Lionel for you layout or shelf. Sell for what I have in them. See video of it running. If you want one cheaper you may have to restore or repair it your self. Lots of work involved believe me. Lots of man hours and stripping & painting. If they say not tested that probably means it may not run and you got a project. See pictures for this is the best description. Track Page Views With. RARE Pride Lines production of Lionel Prewar Hiawatha in Green & Gold 1 of 5

This is a very special set. When John Davanzo was producing the Scrooge McDuck Trolley, he was very taken with the deep green and gold leaf color combination. On a whim, he decorated 5 Hiawatha Passenger Sets that happened to be laying in his shop at the same time. These five sets were never catalogued or publicized. The set is referenced on the TCA Western Division Webpage on Pride Lines. Pride Lines locomotives had pot-metal side rods that did not hold up. This locomotive has been upgraded with all of its side rods using original Prewar Lionel Parts. Also, the Pride Lines connectors in the vestibules were brittle and broke easily. Many of these have been replaced with original Lionel parts. The cars light up, and the locomotive runs very smoothly and pulls the cars easily on O72 track. You must have a 20-25 Volt transformer such as a prewar Z type to operate Pride Lines locomotives.
